Amen, Sister!

Motherhood, We Are In This Together

My fellow females,

I salute all of us with two X chromosomes in my latest piece on

“Why I Am Proud To Be A Woman! Amen, Sister!”

Go check it out, and then give yourself a proud female fist-pump! 🙂

  1. This is so good! I’ve never understood why we as women don’t stick together and stand in encouragement beside each other. It’s not a competition and we need each other. We all have something to offer. A word of encouragement doesn’t cost a thing and reaps untold benefits to both the encourager and the encouragee (made-up word?), so why would we ever hold that back from one another? For example, I have a lot of experience as a mother–breastfeeding, sleep issues in newborns, making homemade baby food–collective experience from years in the trenches. I love the thought of helping another mother with something as noble as the care and feeding of a young human being. And we all have the ability to participate in this sisterhood. You’re right–men stick together usually without all the backbiting and treachery women sometimes exhibit. I’m so glad you wrote this. Thank you for doing your part.

    1. Amen, sister!! I completely agree with everything you said! I don’t know what’s so hard about it either or why we don’t just automatically have each other’s backs. We really do need each other and everything is better with a support system, even if views differ!! I will keep writing about this as I too think it is something we need to do more of. We need more support and less competing/judging. Solidarity. Please feel free to share this too if you have friends/family etc who might echo our shared sentiment! And thanks so much for reading and taking the time to comment! Much appreciated!! 🙂
